The application of expanded graphite in industry

The following is a brief introduction to the industrial application of expanded graphite:

1. Conductive materials: in the electrical industry, graphite is widely used as electrode, brush, electric rod, carbon tube and coating of TV picture tube.

2. Refractory: in the smelting industry, graphite crucible is made of graphite, used as protective agent for steel ingot and magnesia carbon brick for lining of smelting furnace.

3. Corrosion resistant materials: graphite is used as utensils, pipelines and equipment, which can resist the corrosion of various corrosive gases and liquids. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, hydrometallurgy and other departments.

4. Sealing material: flexible graphite is used as piston ring gasket and sealing ring of centrifugal pump, hydraulic turbine, steam turbine and equipment conveying corrosive medium.

5. Thermal insulation, high temperature resistance and radiation protection materials: graphite can be used for aerospace equipment parts, thermal insulation materials, radiation protection materials, etc.

6. Wear resistant materials and lubricants: in many mechanical equipment, graphite is used as wear-resistant and lubricating materials, which can slide at the speed of 100M / s within the temperature range of – 200 ~ 2000 ℃, without or less lubricating oil.

Pure graphite sheet / coil is made of natural high-purity flake graphite through chemical and high-temperature treatment, molding or rolling, without any adhesive. It still has excellent sealing performance under harsh working conditions, long service life and low maintenance cost.
