Since the strength of graphite is enhanced at a high temperature, the discharge loss can be effectively reduced (the graphite loss is 1/4 of that of copper), and the processing quality is ensured.
3. Light weight and low cost
In the manufacturing cost of a set of molds, the CNC machining time, EDM time, and electrode loss of the electrode account for the majority of the total cost, which are determined by the electrode material itself. Compared with copper, graphite has a machining speed and EDM speed of 3 to 5 times that of copper.
