The thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of graphite rods are quite high, and their electrical conductivity is 4 times higher than that of stainless steel, 2 times higher than that of carbon steel, and 100 times higher than that of general non-metals. Its thermal conductivity not only exceeds steel, iron, lead and other metal materials, but also decreases with the increase of temperature, which is different from ordinary metal materials. At extremely high temperatures, graphite can even become hot. Therefore, the thermal insulation properties of graphite are very reliable at ultra-high temperatures.
Graphite rods are often used for electrothermal extraction in high temperature vacuum furnaces. The higher working temperature can reach 3000℃, and it is easy to be oxidized at high temperatures. Except for vacuum, they can only be used in neutral or reductive atmospheres.
Due to its excellent properties, graphite is widely used in various fields and can be used as a refractory material.
The graphite products maintain the original chemical properties of the flake graphite and have strong self-lubricating properties. Graphite powder is characterized by high strength, acid resistance, corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance.
Graphite has good chemical stability at room temperature and is not corroded by any strong acid, strong base and organic solvent, so even if it is used for a long time, the loss of graphite products is very small, as long as it is wiped clean, it is the same as new.
